Your partner for smarter textile
and laundry operations
What is Leanwave?
We don't sell products off the shelf. We look at how your operation actually runs, then build the solution around it: RFID, smart integration, or simply a better process.
More than 15 years of experience developing intelligent solutions for the textile and laundry industry.
15+
Over 200 locations in more than 22 countries rely on Leanwave to keep their textile operations transparent.
200+
Round-the-clock operational support that keeps your processes running, with real people there whenever you need them
24/7
126M+
RFID interactions enabled every week
Our Tags
We provide you with Laundry-Proof Tags
Our tags are built specifically to withstand the chemicals, heat and harsh conditions of the laundry environment.

Laundry-Proof
Engineered to survive industrial washing, heat, chemicals and harsh laundry environments, cycle after cycle, without losing read performance.
Long-Range Reads
Long read range and strong proximity performance, so hundreds of densely packed textiles are identified instantly, no line of sight needed.
Consistent at Scale
Predictable performance across every tag and every batch, built as a foundation for whatever you do with RFID next.
Our Solutions
We begin with your process
If RFID is the answer, we build with RFID. If it isn't, we find what is.
Consulting & Solution Design
Understand before we recommend. We find the bottlenecks and design a clear path from problem to solution. No predefined package, no unnecessary tech.
Hardware & Smart Integration
RFID is our core expertise, not our limit. We engineer and integrate the hardware your process needs, built for daily operation, and add smart tech only where it truly helps.
Software & Real-Time Visibility
Technology only matters if it gives you clarity. See inventory and movements live, automate the repetitive, and spot issues before they cost you.
Why Leanwave
Why leading companies trust Leanwave long-term
Good consulting starts with the confidence to tell you what you don't need. We build around where change creates the most value: sometimes new tech, sometimes improving what you have, sometimes something simpler.
1/5
Process over Product. We recommend the solution that creates the most value, not the one that sells the most hardware.
Process before hardware. We map how the operation runs today before proposing anything that has to be bought.
One partner, not three. Consulting, integration and the software behind it come from the same team.
Built to be handed over. The people who run the process day to day are trained on it, not left with a manual.
Support that answers. Round-the-clock cover with people who already know the installation.

Our Dashboard

Track individual textiles. Monitor each textile in real time – including owner, location, and current status.
Complete lifecycle. Access the full history of every textile – from the last wash and wash cycles to all movements.
Data becomes visible. All RFID data is consolidated into a clear platform and visualized in easy-to-understand dashboards.
Processes at a glance. Monitor inventory, workflows, delays, and losses in real time—centrally and across all locations.
Better decisions. Use meaningful metrics to optimize processes, reduce losses, and deploy resources more efficiently.

Frequently
asked questions
Have questions? Here you will find answers about our solutions, the implementation process, and how we support companies in digitising their textile and laundry processes.
What technologies does Leanwave work with?
Although RFID is our specialty, we offer a full range of product identification hardware and software. If you're looking for a custom solution that aligns with your business needs, get in touch with us here.
How do you determine which technology is right for my use case?
The technology for your use case depends on a wide range of factors regarding your infrastructure, resources, budgets… Get in touch with us and our specialists will determine the right technology according to your given conditions.
Can Leanwave integrate with our existing systems?
Yes. The process begins with understanding your needs and what you’ve already had in your systems. After that we will consult and discover a solution that works revolving around your existing environment.
Do we need to replace our current infrastructure?
Not necessarily. We will advise you the best solution based on your needs, your existing systems, your budget and if it makes sense to replace something.
Can Leanwave work with hardware or software we already use?
Absolutely. You don't need to overhaul your current infrastructure—Leanwave provides compatible tags and custom software/hardware consulting to ensure a smooth integration with what you already use.
Do you provide both hardware and software?
Absolutely. Alongside our RFID expertise, Leanwave specializes in hardware and software solutions tailored for product identification. We’ll analyze your current setup and provide the compatible tech stack you need to keep your operations running smoothly.
Can your solutions be customized to our processes?
Yes. We begin by assessing your current systems and specific needs, then consult with you to build a tailored solution around your existing setup.
What is RFID?
RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification. In simple terms, RFID allows an object to be identified wirelessly using radio waves.
A passive UHF (Ultra High Frequency) RFID tag contains a small chip and antenna and does not require its own battery. An RFID reader sends radio-frequency energy through its antenna. The RFID tag uses energy from that signal to activate its chip and communicate its stored identification information back to the reader.
Moreover, if UHF Tags are not a good fit for your system, we also offer HF (High Frequency) and LF (Low Frequency) Tags.
What can be tracked with RFID?
Almost anything can be tracked with RFID, we have Tags that specifically designed to track garments. These tags are flexible, can withstand heat and liquid. But if you’re planning to track your non-garment products, we also have Adhesive Tags, that you can simply attach to a box or on the product itself to track.
What is the difference between RFID, NFC, QR codes and other identification technologies?
| Property | RFID | NFC | QR | Barcodes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Technology | Radio waves | Specialized radio waves | 2D Matrix scan | 1D Linear scan |
| Data capacity | Medium (up to a few KB) | Medium (Up to a few KB) | High (~4000 Chars) | Very low (20-80 chars) |
| Read range | 100+ Meters | Less than 10 meters | Several meters | Inches to a few feet |
| Line of sight | Not required | Not required | Required | Required |
| Data Flow | Read/Write | Two-way communication | Read-only | Read-only |
| Cost | Medium (Tags & Readers | Medium (Chips in smart devices) | Free to print/generate | Lowest (to print) |
Can RFID work without line of sight?
RFID Tags does not necessarily require direct line of sight, and multiple tagged items can be identified automatically and simultaneously, depending on the application and environment.
Can RFID tags withstand industrial washing, heat or harsh environments?
Yes, when you use the correct transponder. With Leanwave’s deep background in textile management, we know that commercial laundries and workwear processing require maximum durability. We select and supply heat-sealed, stitched RFID tags tailored to resist mechanical pressure, high heat, and harsh laundry chemicals so your track-and-trace stays accurate for the entire lifecycle of the garment.
How many items can be identified at once?
Depends on the technology & the environment, the number of simultaneously identifiable tags are different. But worry not, our specialist will inspect your infrastructures, resources, requirements and tell you on the spot how the efficiency is going to look like before installation
Can RFID be used on metal or other difficult materials?
Yes, while we focus in the textile industry, we also designed Tags tailored for those who want to track more than just garments.
How does a typical Leanwave project start?
The process begins with understanding your needs and what you’ve already had in your systems. After that we will consult and discover a solution that works revolving around your existing environment.
Do you offer pilot projects or proof-of-concept testing?
Yes, we do. If the circumstance requires or per your request, we will gladly conduct a pilot project or proof-of-concept test in order to ensure the main project will operate smoothly/
Can you test the solution in our actual operating environment?
For most of our projects we proactively suggest a pre-visit to the site in order for our specialists to assess the conditions of your company and determine which technology fits best. After that a test of the solution in actual operating environment is highly suggested to ensure that the installations afterwards will be smoothly conducted.
What information do you need from us to get started?
Our solutions are specifically tailored to each use case of our customers. Simply contact us and tell us about your company, your existing system, your resources and most importantly your pains so we can get started in easing it.
